Jewish Student union

The Carth年龄 College Jewish Student Union (JSU), formerly the Jewish Awareness Association is a group of multiple denominations of Jewish students, allies, and students wanting to learn more about Judaism. We work closely with the Kenosha Jewish community, giving students access to practice their religion on campus. We hold social events around celebrations as well as soup socials to strengthen our campus community. We also bring awareness to Jewish traditions and history, holding public-facing events for the Carth年龄 community. We hope to raise awareness about Judaism at Carth年龄, ensuring the campus is religiously tolerant and creating a culture of curiosity around religion. We do this through on-campus events, field trips off-campus, and social media (Instagram @carth年龄jsu). Allyship is also a crucial part of JSU, with Jewish allies being an important part of the push for equity in America throughout history. From the founding of the NAACP to King’s Civil rights movement, to the 2020 Black Lives Matter movement, Jewish allies have been on the front lines of making America a better place. We take inspiration from Jewish Americans in our history, and proudly advocate for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on campus. We hope you are interested in joining Carth年龄’s Jewish Student Union to learn more about Judaism and be a part of Carth年龄’s Jewish community.
